Reading Resolution Round-up

If you recall (or if you’re new to Adventures In Nonsense), it was a resolution of mine to read two new books every month in 2018. My goal for 2017 was to read one new book a month, and I kind of blew that one out of the water. What can I say? I love reading.

So far, in 2018, I’ve read 23 books. If you only want to count the first half (through June) of 2018, I think I was technically 22 books. I’ve been impressed with the overall quality of books that I’ve read this year, though I’ve surely had a few that I won’t return to. I’ve been keeping track of the books as I finish them on a massive notecard on my vision board. I’m almost running out of space!

Seriously…go get these books now. It doesn’t take much for me to hate a book, but it takes a lot for me to love one. Thus, these books with the highest praises are guaranteed as engaging reading. Some books aren’t pictured because I either borrowed them or have already loaned them out.

It’s Not Okay – I didn’t review this one on the blog because it hit some real personal marks. However, if you’ve ever gone through a breakup, this is a great book.

Missing Persons -Apparently I missed a review for this one! It was really engaging, and managed to have two mysteries intertwined (like our favorite episodes of Law & Order: SVU).

Phew! That’s a lot of reading. On nights that I don’t get to read as much, I definitely can tell, and I miss it! Sometimes, you forget how much you love some of your favorite things.
