2017 – Goals & Resolutions

Happy New Year, friends! I hope you were all surrounded by friends and family (and a lot of love) as we said goodbye to the bitch that was 2016.I included some resolutions in my last post, but I need to make them more concrete.

  1. Read at least one new book every month. I tried this in 2016, and got distracted and failed. I read about 10 new books (had a lot of time to read while traveling), but did not meet my goal. This is new books only too.  I reread Harry Potter and other things, but that didn’t help grow.
  2. Lose weight & tone up. I know it’s not proper to discuss specifics, but I’d like to be in my goal range of 125-130.
  3. Find one thing to be grateful for at the start and end of each day. I don’t want to repeat, and have to write them down. At the end of the year, I can look back at over 700 things for which to be grateful.
  4. #365project. This is kind of meant  to go along with the gratefulness thing. However, I’m going to post a picture every day. This morning, it was Olivia using a pillow like a human.
  5. Say yes to me more. It’s okay to go to bed at 10pm if I’m tired. If I want Chick-fil-a, it’s okay to splurge a bit.
  6. Invest. I’ve always been smart with money and saving, but I need to invest more. I have my 401k, but need to do something more.

I think that’s it. I’d say these are solid goals! We’ll see how things go. 2017 has to be better than 2016.
