My Favorite Amazon Prime Products

In honor of Prime Day next week, I wanted to round up a few of my favorite things that I’ve gotten through Amazon Prime. I know that Amazon is the devil and people should stop purchasing from them. However, there are plenty of small businesses on Amazon that you can (and should) support! In fact, just recently, my sister purchased some macramé string on Etsy (thinking it was a more direct way to support the small business). Upon further research, she found it for less money on Amazon AND we discovered that the business was using Amazon for fulfillment anyway, so there was no need for the price difference.

eReaders

I will always be a books-first kind of girl. However, my Kindle Paperwhite is a godsend sometimes. It makes it easy to read in the dark, it holds thousands of books, and it’s so much lighter than carrying a bunch of books around when I travel.

I currently have one of the older generations of the Paperwhite. I’ve gotten both of my parents newer ones, and they have way more features. There’s also the OG Kindle, AND the Oasis, which is the Ferrari of Kindles. These products (along with the bulk of Amazon tech) always go on sale at Prime Day, so you can certainly save.

Fire Tablet

For years, I was super against tablets. I didn’t understand their purpose, and they felt like unnecessary tech. However, I purchased a Fire Tablet at Prime Day a few years ago and enjoy it. I got one of the most basic versions, and almost exclusively use it for Pinterest when I’m cooking, watching Netflix in bed, and reading. The Kindle app on the tablet comes with INFINITE SCROLL, which is amazing.

Books

I buy a lot of books. That’s no secret. When you buy books as much as I do, you have to get them on the cheap. When I’m not putting in orders through Thriftbooks, I buy from Amazon. You just can’t beat the prices.

If you love books, don’t forget to follow my book blog, Down the Book Jar!

Products for the Home

I get overwhelmed looking through Amazon for home products. You can find almost anything there. Currently, I’m thinking of reworking my bathroom a bit. If you search for something like “bathroom,” there are millions of products. I’m contemplating the mirror below. How gorgeous is it?!

I also LOVE my essential oil diffuser. I’m not huge on the science of essential oils. However, I do love the smell of lavender, eucalyptus, and peppermint. I have one in my living room that I’ll turn on when I work out or cook something especially pungent. It just helps kind of clear the air, and it’s great.

One of my other favorite things is my bar set! It’s nice and compact, but totally functional for all the fun cocktails.

Products for the Kitchen

Amazon has been a lifesaver for my kitchen. I was able to get my cast iron skillet on a Prime Day sale a few years ago, and it’s one of my favorite things. I also have my reusable K-Cups (#savingtheearth), and the Brita in my fridge. I’m a sucker for ice cold water, so it’s nice to have it all filtered and everything whenever I want it. Plus, you can buy massive packs of replacement filters on Amazon too.

Products for the Dogs

Olivia is high maintenance. Since she can’t actually speak or ask for things, I suppose it is my fault that she is the way that she is. However, there are a few holy grail items that I will forever purchase for her: Her Rabitgoo harness, her Blueberry Pet collar, and toothpaste.

You can also get custom dog tags too! Olivia’s is pretty decorative right now. Since we have a real home, she got a tag upgrade. The ordering process for custom items is super simple too.

Products for Work

When you work from home, you’re extra picky about your products, especially since you’re the one footing the bill. I go for high quality at a reasonable price.

Products for Your Home Gym

There’s almost no reason you can’t work out at home. With just a few products, you’ll have enough to stay in shape, with or without a gym membership. With Amazon Prime, these products can arrive in just two days, so there’s no sense delaying your motivation. I’m a big fan of resistance loops and bands, though I do have an interchangeable weight set too.

Also, I’m not vegan, but those protein shakes are my absolute favorite. I get the variety pack with Chocolate, Coffee, and “Cookies & Creamless” and they’re so good.

If you’re not currently an Amazon Prime subscriber, start a free trial! You can cash in on Prime Day and then cancel it. Isn’t that what we all do with our TV subscriptions?
