Quotes to Get Over the Slump

This time of year can be a bit hard. Speaking personally, I’m losing a lot of the motivation I had at the start of the year. Work has been stressful…I haven’t been sleeping well…It’s just getting a bit tough. So, what better way to get over this slump than to pour my heart and life into quotes to re-motivate me (and you, if you need it).

This is hard for me to remember sometimes. The only things worth having are those that you work for. I’m hoping that there is some good waiting at the end of all of this hard work. Presently, I’m not sure what I’m working for, but my hard work should pay off.

So much of our lives is spent trying to please others. Remember that YOU are the only one that matters. Put your heart into it, stay motivated, and do it for you. Don’t lose the weight to impress your book club. Lose it to feel better! Don’t clean your house for company. Clean it so that you can see your floor and easily cook a meal.

I love this one! Stay motivated no matter what. If you’re feeling down, put on a happy song and dance around. Dancing is like working out, which releases endorphins. In the words of Elle Woods: “Endorphins make you happy, and happy people just don’t shoot their husbands.” That second part isn’t as relevant, but still. Stay happy and stay motivated.

Sometimes, it’s hard to feel motivated if you don’t feel good about yourself. You can definitely check out my favorite quotes about self love if you need an emotional pick me up. Just remember that you were put on this earth as you are for a reason. Use it and believe in yourself and your goals. This quote is from Mandy Hale, who wrote Beautiful Uncertainty that I have been absolutely raving about

This is something I’m really working toward in my present state. I’m trying to rid myself of negativity and those who either don’t care about me or only bring negativity into my life. It’s hard as I’ve felt very alone recently, but there’s just more room for positivity moving forward.

Sometimes it takes a lot of courage to stay motivated. Your goal might have been to move to a new state or start a new job. That’s scary! But taking that step in the right direction is the only way to make that change.

My mom keeps telling me that I’ll only attract what I exude. If I’m all negative, then I’ll forever be alone. I’m working to stay motivated toward positivity.

This is one of my favorites. All you need is to believe in you. I’m sure each and every one of you has a fantastic support group behind you, but you need to believe in yourself.

I’m also working toward mindfulness. I tend to get really bogged down in something bad happening whenever something bad happens. However, everything happens for a reason. We may not know the reason for hardships or particular circumstances at the time, but there is a reason it is a part of your life.

I’m very easily stressed. That is no secret. If you find that you’re getting stressed about something, think about the origin of the stress. You can even use the stress to motivate you toward something that will make you happy and alleviate the stress.

Staying motivated is hard. However, if you find one way to get motivated or stay motivated, run with it. Also, share that secret with me.  Do you have any quotes that help keep you motivated? I’d love to hear them.
