Friday Five: February 2020

friday five february

After January took forever to get through, February went by in a blink. February is my birthday month, but I don’t feel like there was much celebrating. Oh well. I’m headed to my favorite brewery this weekend to catch up with one of my favorite people, and the sun has been shining, so it is all good. Also, did I mention I ran a 5K this month? You can clearly see that it was omitted as one of my favorite things.

Ice Roller. One of the bookstagrammers I follow talked about this magic ice roller many times. Personally, I had a “recipe” for one of those squishy ice packs so I didn’t think anything of it. After quite a few headache days in a row, plus some beautifully heartbreaking books, I needed something different. Man, the ice roller lives up to the hype. I cannot recommend it enough if you get headaches or find yourself waking up puffy. Buy it here.

Smile Brilliant Teeth Whitening. This has become my new best friend. I’ve always struggled with whitening my teeth because they’re so sensitive, but Smile Brilliant has been AMAZING. Oh, and did I mention I’m giving away a $159 credit?

Actually, I can. This is my new favorite mug! My parents got it for me for my birthday, and it’s both motivating and sassy all at the same time. Essentially, it’s me in mug form.

Raised Bed Garden. I have had this idea since I moved into my house last summer. At that point, it was already too late to plant much of anything, and I had invested my funds into other parts of my house. Recently, I went through and planned out the lumber I would need and priced it out. Then, I saw a very pretty white one made from BPA free plastic at Costco for less than I would spend on lumber. It’s taking everything in me to not put it together and get it started. I’ll be sharing my gardening journey, so stay tuned, friends.

The elliptical. Now, I am not yet ready to say that I’m loving working out. However, adding the elliptical in to my cardio has actually given me cardio. Do you know how easy it is to get on a treadmill and talk yourself out of running? Have you ever tried going slowly on an elliptical? There are no breaks!
