Happy Thanksgiving! Last year, I wrote about things that I was thankful for. This day is a chance for all of us to reflect on the blessings in our lives. However, what if we adopted an attitude of gratitude? What kind of change would that have in your life? This Thanksgiving, opt for gratitude, not just thanks.
This is generally hard for me. Whenever something bad happens, it’s so easy to get into the mentality of “Why me?” Instead, turn it into gratitude and ask “Where do I get to go from here?”
Amen, Oprah! Are you grateful for how people have shaped your life? When you look back on people who have hurt you, have you learned from those experiences?
Be grateful for people! Some people are only in our lives for a brief period, but they have the ability to make a huge impact. If someone has made a difference in your life, show them gratitude.
It’s like putting good vibes in the world. The more you exude positivity, the more light will follow you. The more grateful you are, the more blessings you’ll receive.
The heart of gratitude is finding the good in any situation. It may take time, but there is always something. And never hide your gratitude! Another quote I found mentioned that “keeping your gratitude silent is like wrapping a gift and never giving it to someone”.
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that everyone’s day is full of friends, family, and delicious food. Adopt an attitude of gratitude today, and see how it lightens your mood.
