30 Days of Stress Relief

There are a lot of different stressors in our lives: travel, family, work, money…you name it, chances are that it stresses someone out. Though I tend to thrive in multitasking, I do tend to get overwhelmed with a large volume of tasks. At work, I’m coordinating our annual conference, a $50,000 philanthropic effort, my boss’ calendar, and more. Plus, Christmas is NEXT MONTH. What even is that? Even though my family is opting for a smaller holiday, there are cards to create, gifts to plan, and so much to do. I need to find some applicable stress relief.

Writing that paragraph got me stressed! It’s important to find personal coping mechanisms to deal with your stress. Stress can lead to poor mental health, so it’s important to take care of yourself.

It’s been a bit of a theme in my monthly challenges that I love to journal. Sometimes I’m at a loss for what to say. Things in my life haven’t been “journal worthy”, so I like using different prompts to get the juices flowing. For November, I’m working on 30 Days of Stress Relief Journaling.

Just reading some of the stress relief prompts soothes me! I think the one I’m most looking forward to is Day 28:

Today, I will vent my feelings about ______ to ______. This is my release.

For someone who advocates writing letters you’ll never deliver, I haven’t done it in a while. I’m excited to have an excuse to release some of those feelings. It will help with what I learned fromĀ You Are A Badass too!
