12 Page Turners You Won’t Want To Put Down

page turners

There’s nothing I love more than truly engrossing page turners. After years where my love of reading took a back seat, it was such a joy discovering books just like this. Instead of keeping them a secret, I’m going to share them with y’all.

Fiction

Qualification: I read most of these in just a few days. They’re considered page turners because they kept me up late at night trying to finish them or get to the next twist.

Gone Girl – Gillian Flynn
The Good Girl – Mary Kubica
The Couple Next Door – Shari Lapena
Small Great Things – Jodi Picoult
The Song of Achilles – Madeline Miller
The Woman In The Window – A.J. Finn
Big Little Lies – Liane Moriarty

Non-Fiction

Qualification: These page turners all taught me something. As non-fiction, they kept me engaged. I felt that they were sharing their story, not just writing a book. Plus, I always like a good laugh, and some of these (Tina & Amy) did just that.

Year of Yes – Shonda Rhimes
Bossypants – Tina Fey
Yes Please – Amy Poehler
Carry On, Warrior – Glennon Doyle
Brain on Fire – Susannah Cahalan

Whether you’re more of a fiction aficionado or pride yourself on consuming non-fiction, these page turners won’t let you down. Each and every one of them was a quick read that left me wanting more. That’s the mark of a good book.

What about you? What books would you classify as “page turners”? I’m looking for some new ones in 2019!
