Holiday Gift Guide: Book Lovers

Helllloooooooo book friends! Or friends and family of book friends. Though, if you’re not a book friend, haven’t I harped enough on the importance of reading? Bookish people have very particular tastes when it comes to reading. You have those who listen to audiobooks, those who read on paper, those who only digest eBooks, and those who do a bit of everything. These gifts are perfect for the average book lovers.

Kindle Paperwhite

We all know I got my Kindle this year on Prime Day. It was a fantastic deal, and it has been a lifesaver. Time spent scrolling through my phone or absentmindedly staring off into space can now be spent reading! And, thanks to my Libby app and library card, I can get all sorts of books for free!

The NEW Kindle Paperwhite is on sale for less than $100, if you need it to be waterproof. If that’s not a concern to you, my Kindle Paperwhite is only $80!

Bookmarks

You can never have too many bookmarks. A lot of times, book lovers will use whatever is around them. I’ve used ticket stubs, receipts, notecards…however, the one thing I use the most is my Doctor Who bookmark. It’s sturdy and large enough that you won’t misplace it if you change reading venues. You can get artsy bookmarks or motivational ones. A book lover using a gifted bookmark will think of you each time they read.

Audiobook Subscription

There are people in the world who listen to their books! One of the gentleman in our Book Club at work exclusively listens to books. If you know one of those people, get them a subscription to their favorite audiobook service! I’m most familiar with Audiobooks.com and Audible

Kindle Unlimited

Kindle Unlimited is a great Amazon addition. They have a full library of books. For $9.99 per month, you can check out up to ten books at a time. It’s a great subscription to gift. I found myself reading a lot of books I wouldn’t have read otherwise. They’re not always the most popular books, but they’re still good reading.

Mugs

If your book lover is anything like me, there’s nothing better than curling up with a mug of a hot beverage…coffee, tea, cocoa, dealer’s choice.

Book Light

If you’re one of those who is against eReaders, like I used to be, a book light is imperative for reading in low light. Sometimes you don’t want to turn on an overhead light, or you have to turn out the lamps for your significant other. Don’t let that stop you from reading! Book lights are so advanced now, and they clip simply onto whatever you’re reading.

There are a ton of unique gift ideas for book lovers. If you know their preference for tea or coffee, get some. We can never have enough in the house. Cozy blankets are helpful too. Readers want to be comfortable. We want to get lost in a good story, not worry about
